I might finally get around to putting a tail tidy on me bike in the next few weeks. I'd rather be a bit different what would you guys suggest? I have been looking at TaylorMade as it looks a bit different but I have been told it isn't really up to carrying our heavy number plates. There is also one one from BS-motorparts.com. It is a 2012 model

Si I saw you pics the other day, on the other link. That is what inspired me to go for something different. But I have not been able to find out if they have them for a 2012 Blade. I have emailed DEPRETTO but I'm not sure they understood my request about 2012 model. It is also ABS

Hi Kev, there's a link to an ebay page that a German site supplies them too. Email them and ask. I know there are 2 types, ABS and non ABS versions.

    Cheers.

Guy in Tasmania advertising on ebay sells them made to fit ur plate size, so the indicator fixings are hidden behind the plate. excellent quality and service. The indicator brackets were the same shape as the stem end, with bolt and cable holes perfectly aligned. Wasn't expensive either.

    Kev,

Accessori Honda CBR 1000RR 08/12 pezzi in alluminio ricavati dal pieno made in Italy by deprettomoto.com - deprettomoto.com

This says 08-12 model and then at the bottom says ABS and Non abs 08-11.

As far as I know the 11 and 12 models are the same from a fairing perspective. So I would assume that this will be fine. Soon as I get paid I am going to be taking the risk unless anyone can tell us other wise ?????

The rear of the 12 onwards is a little different to the 08-11 bikes. R&G show different fittings for their Tail Tidy's.

    Try this link

    Honda CBR1000RR fender eliminator 2010 - 2012 tail tidy | eBay

Cost was about £80 including P&P. I have asked him to but the value on the customs dec at £15 so hopefully he'll do that and save the risk of VAT being added.

I had a few comms via ebay with the seller and he says a 2012+ bikes are the same. You need to specify size of number plate (I went fully legal at 8x6) and if you will be using OEM indicators or another make.

Yes I'd have liked the Italian or the German one but no can do. So instead I'll have one sent halfway around the world.

How is the fender eliminator working out?

Had a R&G one on an R1 which split after 300 miles. Replaced by an Evotech one which was of good quality and fitted well.
