    .

Knocked up a neat little bracket for my trickle charger. Bit of aluminium plate, drill two holes, give it a twist. Hey presto! Job done.

    Nick.

Changed a couple of intake shims after checking valve clearances and them being near bottom limit. Should have done the 16k service last year but the good weather kept on going and I kept on riding.

Late finish as part of one of my injector plugs is missing, allowing it to move. I must have knocked it when putting everything back together. Initially feared that I might have mis-aligned the cam. Had visions of having to strip it all again!

Left the fairings off for a quick run before the oil change tomorrow evening or at the weekend.

I hate doing this but my first service was £99 and for what is basically an oil change I thought that was steep !

Its great, it does not have a water pouch but it does have laptop pouch and 6 small mouse friendly slotted pockets inside, a zipped pocket on top and the external pocket at the bottom is deceptively big. plus theres the phone pocket on the strap at the front. It comes with a clip on belt but the rucksack buckle would naff the tank up in seconds. although you can buy a Velcro belt strap but I never use the waist strap anyway so pointless for me.

    HM Quickshifter fitted today....

Had issues taking the left side fairing off and putting it back on, its still not on perfect but i give up on it for now as i was getting stressed and if i continued i'd of taken the hammer to it and smashed it to pieces:mad:...

Besides that i had a fault with the LCD display which was sent back and a new one returned in record time. This wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, there is no need to fully remove the petrol tank but if you do, like i did then it makes life easier if the tank is almost empty, mine was full and wasn't fun.... Besides that everything else is straight forward and if i can do it then a monkey can do it....

Huge thanks to Arthur for all his help, he went above and beyond and what a good guy to speak to...

    Heres a quick picture......

Looking good mate.. Fairings are a bugger aren't they :).. Had fun with the sp. Nice to see the stickers on the swingarm lol. I've had to alter my settings on the qs. Sensitivity is at 60 and kill time at 63. Feels bob on although I'm not revving it beyond 8 at the mo. What was up with your LCD display Matt? Is the gearbox sorted

Ive just come off the phone with Authur and after running through the tests and setting it up correctly, i had set it to extension because i presumed you were extending your foot but Authur put me right so its now set to compression and ive set the sensitivity to 70 for now and kill time 61. Ive not tested it yet as its wet outside and looking at the weather Monday looks favourite. I really can't stress enough how good Arthur's been, what a star...

The LCD screen wasn't showing the numbers so Authur got on to them and they sent a replacement in basically a day, the new one works perfect..

Gear box seems to be good for now Daz, touch wood and i reckon the HM QS will help make it even better:D

I love stickers, some say they make it look like crap but i like them....

I just need to sus out putting the fairing back on right and find a better way of hiding/putting the wires in a more tidy place, do you have a picture Daz of where or how you have your wires??

Is it much of a job fitting the QS? Do they plug onto the injectors?

Changed oil and filter this afternoon. Would have changed the air filter too but

Lesson learnt. Stick to OE air filters. Strange as I've used Hi-Flo oil filters for some time and they seem to be generally well thought of.
