The scuffs are hidden by the swingarm so that's all good. The 2 problems I have are I do not have the bolt set that it needs, the original bolts have built in spacers that do not fit through the spacer washers that came with the hugger. The plastic arm that has a hole in it to bolt to the chainguard bracket, at the very end of this there is a split through to the bolt hole, when tightening a bolt in this the split opens up. The first item can be rectified by you sending me the bolts. The split I am not sure what to do, perhaps the correct bolt will tighten without applying pressure forcing the split to open up. Do you have the bolts?
I assume you mean the front two bolts? The two bolts I used to fit were the two from the standard Hugger, which I assume, but can't be sure as I bought the bike second hand, are standard. I refitted the standard hugger with these bolts. Apologies if this is not the case. I know nothing of any split, which I assume you mean is under the standard chain guard mount. I never noticed this during install or removal. I no longer have the bike so can't send you the bolts, however I am more than happy to offer you a full refund including the return postage if you are not happy with the hugger.
Ive got one of those annoying little cards "we missed you" because my wife dared to go out today. Its gotta be from you matey as I aint bought nothing else, so thanks very much. My lovely wife is going to treck to the post office tomorrow to pick it help.
lol hopefully the bobbins and fork protectors although if you've sent me something better ill still be happy
Standard bolts do this. And this is the split. I will attempt to source the alloy dome head bolts I need and tap the swingarm further down, that what we engineers do. Will be a cheaper option Than postage and you selling a known broken item. Donations welcome.
As above, I don't believe it was broken when I sent it you. As I've said, I'm happy to give you a full refund including return postage if you are not satisfied with the item, which I think is fair. Cox Honda will sell you one new for £179.57 plus VAT
Forgot I had taken this photo, which was taken about 400 miles ago, If you zoom in you will see that it is not cracked. I also did not notice any crack before I wrapped it in bubble wrap to post.
woohoo! they turned up today! real pleased by the bobbins but am I missing a bit for the protectors or am I being a dick? there is no bolt with a hole in to replace the original as per R&Gs fitting instructions....there is a spacer type thing with a hole in it but it has no thread or nut head. Thanks for any help?
just watched again and he says "spacer" and mentions one each side! thats seems to be the thing I have one of, so am I missing a spacer too?
All sorted with f1nn, nice bloke and happy to help. Cheers dude looking forward to being able to lift my bike at the weekend. Living the bobbins much bigger than imagined
Can't you just remove the hugger, and drop a bit of super glue in the crack whilst its off the bike, and then re-fit and be careful not over-torque?
