Evening Fellas, I'm about to buy a new Blade... Should I go for ABS or not ?..... Cheers Len
personally ive never had any probs (touching wood) with the abs but I can tell you that if you need it its good to have, middle of the road reply I know
I also had an 11 plate ABS with no issues but the cost of the service plus the uplift on the purchase price and all the hassles you read on here means its a no brainier .The blade is fantastic tool in all aspects only let down by possible ABS bleeding problems which have been done to death on this forum.
I personally think that ABS is out of place on a superbike.....This is just my opinion and I don't want to offend anybody here. But it takes away the whole feel of the bike, especially when pushing hard on track etc So Non ABS is my vote!
I've got non abs and my mate had repsol ABS I've still got mine after 5 years My mates ABS traded in after 18 months never got on with it Drained battery Also honda don't fit genuine huggers to ABS models But if it saves you? Sorry if this makes your decision harder
If you have plenty of cash for brake bleeds and fancy the reassurance in wet conditions go for it! If you don't and have loadsawonga and never had ABS before...then IMO don't start now. Every one knows I sold my lovely ABS repsol for a non ABS anniversary edition....because of the ABS-C system. Thats how much I disliked it after 18 months (11000 miles)
Yup just perfect .but the bike was 2 years old ( out of warranty) with a fat bill for service looming and as previously stated I wasn't willing to risk or even consider any negative points that may spoil my riding or ownership. My HRC Blade was maybe one of the best looking bikes on this forum or at any bike meet , and was a pleasure to ride anytime .
Everyone to there own opinion but I would go non abs had both blades and non abs sp now mind you took a abs 600 but was at a good price off Craig at Newcastle but convential brakes on it now
No doubt you are right and for safety's sake it can only be a good thing ......But please Honda GET IT RIGHT and we will all have one.
It wasn't a good start when he picked up his new bike and the dealer gave him the hugger in a bag and said we cant fit it but you can And yes it did hit I told him he should lose some weight It didnt help the situation
