don't just paste it in ,, Click the little video icon at the top of the text box which opens the window to imbed the video on the forum . thats how some videos are viewable in the forum and others are links to youtube . I try to edit the ones i see that are not posted properly so if you see edited by dan then thats all it is . nothing to worrie about

Ah the good old days. Audi chopped about a foot off the wheelbase for the S1 and dumped about 150BHP more on it than the standard Quattro group B car. Claims of 600BHP were bandied around a lot at the time. I drove one once..... Had to throw those underpants away. They'd never have been usable again.
They were unique. What people do forget about the championship back then was that the UK leg, The Lombard RAC rally as it was then would start on Sunday morning and the teams would drive right through with only one overnight stop until Thursday mid day. And it was the same for every leg. Looking back it was insanity but it did mean the lowly navigator got to drive these monsters between stages while the driver slept.

My brother treated me as his guest at a Landrover Off Road day a couple of years ago and as everyone else on the course wanted to play with the Rangerovers and Discos we had the extreme course all to ourselves. I don't know which was the more difficult to believe. That a wheeled vehicle could cope with the kind of terrain we put it through or that I was actually controlling it while it did.
