The I phone idea was just a thought cos there must be loads getting binned for smashed screens I know the police wouldn't track it but I'm pretty sure the owner and a few mates would go looking for it
Can only recommend what I know "Bike-Trac" one word AWESOME! If the keys not in and I roll bike out of garage I get a call within minutes. Biker down alert to your chosen 3 yes 3 numbers. Works a treat when I came off the Super Tenere. Pinpointed to the meter! Battery disconnect alert text & email the instant the battery is disconnected and tracker works for another 5 days on backup. Its worth every penny used it for past couple of years. Forgot to mention, You just put in your email and password and hit the track bike button and you can see on screen from anywhere - where exactly yoour bike is. Best high profile recovery was a Ducati Panaggeli from Vilnius in Lithuania 27 hours after being nicked in London!
Not going to get another one until I know what the £ will be on renewal. 10yrs protected no claims (although the theft will obv still affect it). Really, really dumbass question - does my insurance policy become null & void after a claim, or does it last for the full term (and thus valid for another claim?)
The thing is these days they already have the eurotunnel booked up and nick something just before they make the journey... Then it's non stop driving to the east block countries...... my bet is that your blade is already there and stripped and someone is already riding around in TT legends colours as we type.... Hopefully it was fully insured
My car was written off three weeks ago and I insured the new one on my current policy after they had paid out, so hopefully you can just add the new one on
Spoke to the insurer and broker. Insurer was cagey as f**k about changing bikes broker said that it should be fine "as long as the risk factor is the same". Essentially, delays premium increase pain until next year
I had to renew last week + £150 for being rear ended ! Completely not at fault insurance company's make me so mad !
