Rights guys and girls I think I will need to get my fork and shock re sprung for my weight but before I do that does anyone have any settings for a larger man (real man) I can try to see how I get on?
For an 05 if that makes a difference?

    Cheers in advance

Well Marty I would suggest getting shot of the Ohlins or Showa's in favour of some Land Rover items
(they should fit with some Vaseline and a shoe horn) ;)

or alternatively get a second bike to get one under each thigh :D

I will pop over to Airbus see if they have any landing struts available for you Martin ;)

if you want a sensible reponse talk to MH racing they will advise you on the correct springs/oil etc based on you weight ;)

In all seriousness Martin you can get settings online or from a mate but they probably be little or no good to you those settings will be for standard springs and a variety of weights! Your best bet would be to get a professional set up done with new fork oil in her to.:)

Well you are all a bunch of t0ssers that's all I can say!

Not worth dialling in some rough settings as a test?
Just want to see if standard ones can deal with my fat arse rather than spend big money I haven't got

Increasing the preload will make it harder but harder spring to suit your weight is what you really need :)

A setup cost me £40 and obviously if the springs arnt up to the job they can then discuss the next step, I have managed to set Sag on the bike and had a play trying to get it right but always get myself tied in knots

Best thing to do is see an expert let him work his magic then ride away happy and amazed at the differance :)

Standard is good for around 10.5-13.5 stone, any more or less will require new springs and even maybe some revalving if U are much over 15 stone.

I'm 15.5-16 st and needed uprated springs on my Ohlins for my track bike.

The Blade suspension is standard but is certainly not ideal for my weight but I don't use it much now and when I do it's mostly cruising so I will put up with it.

Only had this discussion the other day.
We reckon any motorcycle coming to Europe should have upgraded susspension as standard.
Let's face it not many of us are 8 stone wet through are we?

I know its been done to death but There's a few handy tips here that may help Here Martin?

Ha I'm around the same weight as you Martin. Guess I'll need to lose some fat too or upgrade my springs.
