And who wrote these then ? The Bike Gods ?

Yes I have my gloves over my jacket cuffs, yes I have my feet like a duck (so my wife has just told me), I don't tend to get my knee down so my sliders stay off leaving Velcro patches (would it be worse to have sliders like new or is the norm to give them a quick scrape on the road when off the bike ?).
Please all you biking gods, tell us what we (I) should do to be accepted by the fraternity.

Thank **** I got rid of the novelty dust caps, camoflage trousers, and the wife has a style of her own. ;)

Sunglasses with a clear visor most of the time, I'm afraid. For several reasons. The vagaries of what constitutes a legal visor are so random in the eyes of any BIB stood at the side of the road who thinks I'm making too much noise, and even if it's legal, the hassle of just being stopped is pain enough. Nobody cares about dark glasses during the day. Polarising lenses do cut 50% of glare from reflective surfaces and the foam seals around the frames stops that horrid 'peed my pants' feeling when the windblast hits my contact lens.

In fact, I keep musing about getting a pair of the yellow, contrast enhancing ones for night riding.

I have never been a slave to fashion though...

Phuggg wouldn't be seen dead with any of that. I'm just off out, after putting my Bullet belt, tassel jacket and open face helmet with spinning visor on.
........... Whoop I'm in the groove.
