Anyone took one off how long does it take?

Is it side fairings off air intakes etc, I'm guessing so just wondering before I start?

    Cheers in advance.

    Hi Benn

It's pretty much as u describe mate. It took me around 2 hours to take it off. Not the hardest of jobs to do, it just takes a while.

First time took me a while as i had to go back to the laptop and find out that you need to strip the small inner panels from around the rad and the panel under the nose to reveal the inner fixings for the sides

Second time i had the off took no time at all

Cheers gents I have had most of it apart before anyway and have a pretty good idea of what it'll take.

I didn't think it'd be difficult more time consuming, thanks again

Pain in the arse to be honest the first time . I was so pi$$ed of I modified my bike so things are soooo much easier than Mr Honda designed .

I recon he was being obtuse when he designed the fixings of all the fairing panels .

lol once the side are off its the 2 wiring plugs left hand side of bike above rad then the mirror bolts and 2 screws in screen then slide forward when its forwad a bit unplug horn and clocks!

Ive just took mine off a little tip get 2 decent size body washers and 2 nuts to fix mirrors back to fairing once you unblot and slide forward saves them marking fairing ;)

I didnt think it would be difficult, I have taken everything off it already but the nose cone!!!

I wondered how long the questions about the rug would be, its an old one that was going in the bin so I kept it to lie on when working on the bikes lol

OK OK, no need to rub salt into the wounds :)
I'm using my dads garage at the moment to store the bike and gear.

I plan on building a double garage out my back garden in the next year or 2, money depending.
It will have a lathe, milling machine, compressor, and hopefully a bike or 2 in it.

I thought you had a good set up already colin???

God I would love that, a double garage, my bikes sat in the doorway of one each, on paddock stands with the appropriate floor mat, surrounded on the outer walls by snap on tool boxes brimming with polished tools, wall monted ones to, a sofa area with a massive flat screen playing re runs of the BSB seasons or live depending on the time of year. A decent stereo system, a huge man fridge and a doggie basket in the corner for the boys.
Finished off with signed wall art from all my favourite riders maybe a glass case with a signed lid in the middle for effect.

Or even glass air sealed cases for my bikes,

im dribbling pass me the kleenex!!!!

The setup is fine in my dads garage. But thats just it, its my dads garage n not mine,

I'd have the place well kitted out for biking gear only, instead of garden n building equipment.
