Anybody use anything simliar to this and have any comments or feedback ? There seem to be a view on the market from a number of manufacturers but this is an example of what I mean. Just wondering how secure / steady the bike will be once located in the stand. Thatcham Approved Security Bumpstop
I have 2 similar, both very good and work great, use them mostly for transporting the bike. 2 ratchet straps and pull them forward and done. One of my bikes stands alone in it in the garage.
Hi Mate Ive had one for about a year, great product i use it with a paddock stand don't know about security as no one has tried pinching my bike yet !!!! very well made got mine bolted to slabs keeps bike firm and upright chain supplied is good quality and secures the front wheel well hope this helps Boo
All the pics seem to have the front wheel supported - does it work, or is there an option, to support the the rear wheel ? All to do with where I store my bike on the garage - long story ...
Is it the bumpstop one you guys have ? How stead is the bike in the front stand without the read paddock stand ?
I have two front wheel chocks one similar to this and a sealey unit that I normally have bolted to my hydraulic lift. Both support the bike well and keep the bike steady and uprite with only a small amount of sway from side to side. Not used them for transporting purposes but I often use the one attached to the ramp with no other straps. Mine doesn't have the security point built in but you could save some cash if you bought separate chock and ground anchors if that's the main purpose your looking at the bumps top unit. But can't see why the bumpstop unit wouldn't function in a similar fashion to the one I have used and both support the bike uprite without the need to use a rear stand but also comes with security anchor built in!
Hi again don't no about other ones but the bump stop is very solid slight sway without the paddock stands but no chance of the bike falling over,I've used mine for a year and still firm when the front wheel is rolled in . Boo
COuld do one for the rear maybe.. I wonder how good these would be? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Seale...39?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5ae72d6327 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STEEL-FRO...-CHOCK-BIKE-MOTORBIKE-TRANSPORT-/351029988739
