So just been sent some specs, all new Brembo M50 calipers (not as good as my blades..lol) but with 330mm disc's, 188Kg's WET (so CC keeps his ear) power at crank 195bhp @ 10,750 and 98.1ft-lb!
Now that is a beautiful piece of machinery, I'm looking forward to 2017 when I will just about be able to aford one hung up on my dining room wall.
It's not 916 or 1098 stunning, but looks alot meaner!! Dying to have a closer look at the rear suspension set up!!

Cheers mate, looks great in the other pics!! I'm testing one, might have to sell the blade and get dumped by the mrs!! Small sacrifices I say... Ha ha
Right, when I saw Arthur's first pictures I thought 'oh dear what the f**k have they done'. Then after the official images started trickling out I realised something. It's those bloody awful white infills that Ducati Corse have been using for the last year. Looking at the MCN supplement last night with, admittedly, a lot of CGI images in it in the solid Ducati Rosso I noticed that the paper was getting wet as my drool reflex started. If Ferrari started putting white stripes all over their cars even footballers in Cheshire would turn their noses up at them. Blood red paintwork on a Duc' is as part of the design as the L twin and the asymmetric manifold bores. That's how it should be, end ex. Ducati's have rarely had that 'organic' flow in design features that advertisers would lead us to believe all starts from 'one sweeping line from the pencil of the artist' (916 of course). They seem to come from the school of 'right that's finished then....Oh bugger! We forgot to put the seat in. Quick rub that bit out and put one in!'. Get up close to a 999, 1098 or 1198 and they look more like a dragonfly than a dolphin. I'm biased, I know. Mainly because my daily dealings with designers generally have me reciting the story of the emperor's new clothes in my head and the whole 'Zen' thing with design leaves me a bit cold. If you have to explain your art to me. It ain't. I wouldn't buy it with my head, I'd buy it with the bit of me that makes me grin every time when I get home from the grind and open the garage door to put the car away and see it standing there. But I would definitely buy it. And mrs Ken has just said she'd leave me for one, so it's a win win. If I sell the house at least I'd be able to afford a couple.
Lol, same here... I am 100% sure it will be the dogs, my problem is when I look at it I love the tech that I see the bike could well be ugly but I am unable to see past the tech so I love it anyway...does that even make any sence.. :s Posted on my HTC Sensation with Tapatalk
He who dies with the most toys wins Arthur. He's still dead, but he's got a grin that gets spit in his ears.
Not a lot, but perfect poetry at the same time!! Lol This bike is doing something to me that few others have done... I'm relatively young but it rolls like this : 1. Rc30 2. 916 3. Mv f4 2010... This thing has a calling and will prob be my next bike 4. Desmo 5. Castrol sp1 / 2 6. Rd350lc hate the day I sold mine 7. The new 1199!! This has the effect on me I can only imagine my pals had when they see the above released, plus the 92 blade, 98 r1 or k5!
From the rear it looks like a crabs mouth opening lol Side on the rear is very K5-K6 GSXR 1000 esq IMO I love it still the high res pic makes the tank look small and main fairing is a little dull but it's pretty faultless so far!!!
They are just so dated now imo, a nice bike but unchanged.. I read that Yamaha will not change the looks of the R1 as owners would not buy one, thats a naff thing to say imo how can you move on with that! I take my hat off to Ducati for the big balls all new bike! Like it or not here it is...
I think it is a massive step forward, and I praise them for having the guts to bring out an all new bike in the present climate, especially when the 1198 was not a bad bike at all. £15000 for the base seems like a good buy looking at the RSV4 factory and I must say I love the styling its great. I also loved the RC8 and fireblades styling when they were first revealed and still do so I might be on my own with that but each to there own
