    Anyone else win their bets on the National?.....I've just picked up £106.88 after picking the first three horses and backing them each way! :):):)

    I won about £1.25 I think or what ever a 50p bet 3rd place at 9/1 works out

    The day when the racing fraternity try their best to mame then kill a few horses. Give a thought when placing your bets for the poor animals that are forced to risk their lives to entertain you. I thought we were supposed to be a first world country, to me this is no better than a Spanish Bull run. No Horses died this year in the main race but 2 died earlier in the week on the same course, 4 in 2012, 8 in 2009 all on the same course. If it was motor racing, do think changes would be made?

    Yes Dave, stake money was only £2.50 e/w so I thought that it wasn't a bad return.
