Rode from Mosel Valley to the channel tunnel. Then back up north to Liverpool. About 630 miles. Set of at about 8.30 in the morning arriving home at 10.45 in the evening the same day. I would never do it again
Rotterdam to spa and then on to nurburg. Not as far as some of the journeys posted but at about 250 miles mostly in the rain it was plenty far enough. I can't imagine the state of my geremy kyles after some of the longer journeys posted. Ouch. Andy B
In 2011 myself and my brother rode from Cardiff to Assen for the MotoGP in the rain, I was on a little Ducati 748s.... Shattering!!!
Love SA roads. Hope to get down there again this year. Got a mate in Margate (SA). He's got a Blackbird and sez he'll fix me up with a bike. Yippeee! Oh, and last year on the longest day I rode almost all round the edge of Wales (560 miles) in 10.5 hours non-stop ('cept for fuel and to take a p**s) just to see how far I could get on a sports bike after selling my BMW tourer. You know what? I got off feeling as fresh as a daisy and I'm 72 this month. Just totally love my 'blade. Nick. My route......
That would have been almost exactly 1000 miles from Austria to a place called Paliouri, Halkidiki/Greece in 2 days- 1990 (hence cannot remember where exactly in Bulgaria we stopped over after day one) on my FZR600, my mate on the then brand new YZF750...Carpathian mountains (Transylvania) running out of petrol, 7 miles of cars queuing up for petrol, and at some point running the FZR on a good proportion of high-percentage schnapps (!) a kind trucker surrendered to us as we are desperate to move on to Macedonia...don't know the mileage we did in the following 4 weeks' holiday in Greece, but we had a daily routine of- breakfast, beach, ride out a few hours, lunch, beach, ride out for evening entertainment best time ever!
Rode from Monaco to Calais through the night think it was around 700 miles on my rr6 we were gonna stop halfway but just tootled on think we started around 5pm and got to Calais about 8am next morning other than shoulder ache was ok
