    Hi All,

Bought a constands front Paddock stand for my 09 Blade thought that it would be fine to use with my SP however discovered when cleaning the bike at the weekend that the front paddock stand was never going to work all the time I had a hole in my arse. Is there a replacement that anybody can recommend please? I'm pretty peeved that I'm going to have to fork out for another one but I do need it especially for track days otherwise can't get the warmers on and off.

Anybody got any preferences that would fit a 14 blade? I like Constands gear but looking at their bits doesn't appear that they list anything for the 14 blade just yet?

This is the one I currently have http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motor-bike-paddock-stand-front-SL-acc-f-Honda-CBR-1000-RR-Fireblade-lift-/390719294974?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5af8af4dfe

I dont know if there are any left in stock but Aldi had some good ones a few weeks ago. Although they wouldn't appeal to the fashion conscious, quite well built, sturdy and good value for money

I got one for £29.99 and although the rear fitments are the cups that go under the swingarm, the front fitments work great

Cool thanks man I will have a mooch about see what I can find might even drop a call to the Constands and find out what they can do for me on this one as I think my current paddock stand doesn't sit under the Ohlins that well perhaps because of the brembos?

Might be like the so called 'universal' front Harris stand Scoobs I bought for my ZX10.

That only juts fitted when new then after a few months wear the forks started falling off the stand on lowering.

I tried making the Pins closer together by sleeving them with conduit but that wasn't overly successful either!

The two pins were too far apart in reality so I had it swapped for an under fork 'spigot' type stand which is far better but Bike specific.

How about these, you get a pair for almost the same price as the ebay one you posted up.

I have discovered the root cause of this problem and now I feel like a massive anus. Basically the dealer has placed a tax disc holder on one of the bolts on the bottom of the fork and the lip of this holder sits about 5-10mm lower than the bottom of the fork hence why it was not sitting on the stand properly. I intend to remove this holder and whilst I was tempted to relocate it to the dealer's arse sideways and shined up real nice I thought better of it and will relocate to inside the the cockpit under one of the mirror bolts...

Thanks for everybody's help on this...

Got mine mounted there to, fits very snugly after a bito fettling with the Holder.

TBH though we don't need to display them from October this year ever again so I personally wouldn't bother and just shove it in ya wallet or under the seat in the interim.
