Something that logs your rides, checks the weather for the rides and then rates you on a scale from Crazy Courier to Daisy Dry Days Only. idea © BarstewardSquad 2014 so if you make money you owe me big time
Well, I use "Ride Logger"... it uses GPS to sample your position every couple of seconds or so. Then when you've finished your ride it shows your route overlayed on Google Maps, with speed at each sample point, max acceleration/deceleration, distance, etc... Very basic, but really useful. I even used it last time I went snowboarding, to map the speeds and routes of our more interesting runs. I think the Developer has discontinued it, which is a massive shame. If you're up for recreating it, I would happily lend a hand... could do with improving my Android dev skills having not done any for a few years... although I expect I'd be quite rusty as I dont use Java in my day job.
Maybe add a little track page to it so that a user can input their suspension settings (sag, rebound, compression), tyre pressures, track name, lap times, lean angle etc Also an app that shows your nearest petrol station
Wondering if there is an API for A&E units with waiting times I was thinking of maybe a cloaking device for avoiding the boys in blue
For a bike-specific GPS logging app, I think developing the following functionality could make you a rich man: - panic button... cops are pulling you over, a quick whack on the screen, or "code word" if you've got a headset, would wipe all the logged data, thus preserving your license! - crash detection... acceleration/deceleration/orientation go outside pre-defined parameters (or GPS detects you're now in a field), assumes you've crashed and wipes the logged data*, thus preserving your insurance payout * = could also be used to wipe your girlfriend's contact details/dirty pics to prevent upset to your grieving widow!!!
is there an ODB-II interface on the blade? Would be nice to have an app that logged all that lovely info... H
I think you've got it all wrong about creating a bike App. There's far more money in revamping a game from the '80s, such as putting wings on a yellow circle that you can guide round a maze collecting little pills whilst being chased by ghosts, you could call it Flap-Man
LEAN ANGLE APP -- Set up your phone on a ram phone holder take off side stand set angle to zero then record your lean angle on corners with map logging! Then boast to mates how you hit 45 degrees then 90 until you picked her up!!
