I am a lucky boy .. In a couple of weeks I shall be heading off for a bike trip into France and Spain for a WHOLE month. Who knows I might get bored and go to another country or three! Does anyone know of any good travel or trip insurance and Euro breakdown cover that will cover this? I don't want to buy a whole year as the rest is covered twice by my bike insurance and current account .. Cheers all ..
I went to France last year and used Vehicle Rescue Direct for breakdown and NoLimitstravelinsurance.com for travel insurance. Both cheap enough and I fortunately had no need to use either European Breakdown Cover, Car or Motorcycle Assistance http://http://www.nolimitstravelinsurance.com/

+1 for Vehicle Rescue Direct Breakdown Cover - Car & Motorcyle Roadside Assistance and Recovery Used them after trashing my blade in Germany and no complaints
Check that your bike insurance will give you a green card for that long. Some companies only give you a week or two by default.
You don't need a green card for EU travel. All UK insurance includes the minimum 3rd party cover required within the EU with no restrictions on time or visits. If you are Fully Comp most companies also extend this to the EU free of charge but it's worth a phone call to check. You only need to ask the insurance company for a green card if you're going outside the EU.
