There's a few at cadwell where I brake up to the apex and then get back on the gas. Just wondered in your own experience how hard you can brake with a deep lean angle going in. Obviously it depends on the bike and set up that you're running Cheeeeeeeers
With braking force comes grip in my experience, as long as you don't upset the bike, keep it smooth you should be able to use a good deal of brake into the turn Obviously then it's just down to the tyre and how much it can take Can't remember the name but the down hill left hander at cadwell I was hard on brakes back wheel lifting while leaning over then off brake and through using pace, then as bike starts coming back on power Not that I'm quick compared to you boys
it's hard to say but,you can and should be braking upto the apex on most corners, the amount of "trail" braking you can do is difficult to say,but at full lean it's not a lot. practice makes perfect, but also scuffed fairings when you find the limit at oulton yersterday, the corner i trail brake into the most/hardest is the chicane at the bottom of hill top (1st hill),yesterday i was just about on my/it's limit as i could feel the front start to chatter a bit,for me,thats the tyre telling me it doesn't want anymore pressure or it'll kick me off..... tbh,and i've said this before (and this goes for all you budding racers/fast track riders, get a dday booked with spike edwards,it may seem a lot of money at the time, but you will learn so much in 1 day,and take this with you for a long time, certainly longer than your £1000 full exhaust system will last.
