Well I'm off to the Ring on Monday, sailing from North Shields overnight to Ijmuiden (Amsterdam) then it's just 230 mile to Nurberg Through Holland and Germany. I have been before but not on the Blade; And I've not been around the track before, so I'm not EXXXcited at all. Going with three mates ZZ1400, Blackbird, GS 1200. we're staying 2 nights at the Dorint Hotel rooms facing the track! I will try and get some Pix. .......Whoop Whoop. .........Mike.
Well done Mike............. im off over there to watch Moto GP in June.......... have a safe trip and when I scratch mine I ll be envious thinking about you... !
Awesome - enjoy!! Mid week is best. Weekend can get a little lively lol. But an amazing experience.... Make sure you have a ride out to cochem. Lovely place. And great ride
Have a great time, some of them car drivers are a little careless around fast bikes so keep'em peeled. I've only been round in car and that was scary but great fun, take care.
Looks like a fun ride was had by all. Never been round the ring it's on my list of "Things to do now I have a Blade!"
If you can get 'on the pace' so you're not getting passed by fast cars it's great. but if you're new and a little slow, they will eat you alive. and it gets a little iffy. But if you live it's great. ....... Mike.
Very difficult to learn is the Ring so take care especially on the first time round. The roads all round that region are like no other roads I know.
Looks like we should arrange a trip guys. Brilliant roads and a lap or two of the Ring. Channel tunnel crossing or Harwich/Hook is best for me.
Mate you will love it on the blade! But don't treat it like a trackday as it will end badly!! Yes as Jimbo said visit Cochem...The roads are just awesome Take loads of pics too
Go, Go, Go, I agree with a lot of the comments. The Ring is great and the main focus to go but the roads around Eifel Mountains are smooooth and fast, that's were you will really enjoy yourselves. A little bonus is the GP track is also open to the public 27E for 15 mins .... Lap times are there to be broken ;-)
Never knew that about the gp track The ring and roads around are incredible. Doubt i'll do a full tour next year so for me it'll be 4/5 days plotted at the ring. Maybe even nip over to spa for a day Can't think of anywhere better within a days ride for me. Its awesome
