Well After a bit of pressure off a few mates I've succumbed to putting a can on the Blade, Originally i wanted a Gp Pro, But these are like hens teeth to get hold of and i aint paying silly money for secondhand, So did a bit of searching and came across a Leo Vince Factory R at a company called BR Special Tuning, Who i might add have been absolutely first class. Anyhow it came yesterday so stuck it on, I think looks good and sounds nice too, Not too loud, It's road legal with removable Baffle, Was a bit worried about hunting on tick over but none of that, Runs sweet as. Happy Days.
only there to stop rubbing from my boots, soon as I find something more suitable they'll be coming off.
Very nice Tom. Like it a lot. Btw - did you let me through (in my car) at the Winnington end of Moss Road around midday yesterday by any chance? Perhaps on it's maiden run after being fitted?
I did nip home around 12 ish, if I had a Samsung Honda jacket on and White!! Yes WHITE pants it was me, didn't get it fitted until after tea mate. Oh the white pants are for work by the way
No ya cheeky fecker, I aint the pie eater of the north west posse! Lab analysts, a very busy one at the moment.
I like that very much. I have yet to make up my mind as to which end can to get, Austin Racing is the preferred one but their prices have jumped a fair bit over a short time, demand? Anyway like that can, so may go down the same route as the price (I've checked their website as I had never heard of them) seems very reasonable.
Exhaust looks really smart! I was going to go for the Akropovic but it's £650 for even the race can and that could mean taking off for the MOT, plus everyone seems to have them and I think the Leo Vince looks the business and £200 cheaper! Is the sound just throaty? I too don't want anything load just meaty
It is throaty but as with any after market exhaust it is a bit louder, but not ear bleadingly loud, similar to when you disconect the flapper on the standard exhaust.
Have a look at this, Same can but Carbon, This is what decided it for me. or if that doesn't work search utube for Leo Vince SBK Factory R Carbon Slip On 2010 CBR 1000RR Sound Clip <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/hwVpDEjgeXE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I wanted the Carbon initially and was told that this is no longer made. So unless someone has some older stock, then I guess its the Titanium for me
I too have purchased this exhaust from BR Special Tuning and they were really helpful, cannot fault them at all, really good. Arrived via courier at exactly the time they said. How long long did it take you to fit the exhaust? was it an easy fit?
Try Again!! Service is spot on from theses guys, Well impressed. Took About an hour, Only PITA'S, 1, Getting the carbon hanger nut and bolt lined up, 2, the springs. If you remember, Try to count how many turns to unscrew the Lambda sensor, put these turns on before you put the sensor back in. Other than that quite easy really. Then enjoy.
I have fitted the same Leo Vince Exhaust to my 2012 Blade and have noticed that the bike is hunting on tick over. I assume this may mean the bike needs a reset? If not then maybe a power commander Hopefully the former
