Only done 25 miles but they seem ACE and are not as harsh at the rear as the PR3's were which was my only concern. Well happy with my choice!
You'll be pleased with em mate, as you know loved the 3's but def think the 4's offer more grip and slightly softer feel to them. Dave used my r1 on them and they def seemed to wear just like a sports tyre
Good choice I have about 600 miles on mine and no issues look a bit naff for a sports bike but grip and mileage cancel that out.
Was thinking about PR4s for my next set of tyres ,but are they good enough for knee down , Bit concerned about side grip. Want something that lasts longer only get up to 2000 miles out of a rear sports tyre.
Knee down is not a problem I'm told, there's a few used em on Track Day's. Fast Bikes or Performance Bikes have a test on them this month in France, all glowing reports and knee down action by all accounts.
You'll be fine for knee down Kev Mine after two td's (not ridden by me) and two ride outs. Never struggle for knee down on road. 3's I used on the ring and ran out of balls before grip.... Awesome tyre.
Had mine on 300 miles and knee down no issue at all Massively impressed with them and they don't look as touring as they did ! But as said before they last ages in comparison with all the super sticky stuff I've used and have had no issues at all !
Anyone Know if its ok to mix PR3's with PR4's ? I had a set of PR3's fitted less then 400 miles ago and the rear has a just got a puncture, i took it to get repaired and the tyre guy said he had a rear PR4 he got for another customer who changed his mind. I can have it for the same price as a PR3 he said its ok to mix PR3's and 4's, however i am not so sure any thoughts would be helpful guys. I do the odd track day and i use the blade daily as well as blasting around weekends which is why i want a new tyre as a have that niggle about a repaired tyre.
Yeah it's fine Pete. My mate who runs a Kwak 1000SX is doing exactly the same at Demon Tweeks this Saturday.
Hi Guys What's with the 55 series instead of the 50. Where's the best place to get the pr4s and what other tyre would you recommend about ready for a change as my rear is about had it,running 015s at the moment. Cheers Stu
