Hi Guys, Have installed a PC into my RR9 - finding the bike is running little rough..enough for me to notice the difference. I have a Leo Vice SBK Can and a BMC Air Filter. Any recommendations on what map i should try? Any other settings you think i should check \ change? (fuel adjustments, throttle response etc...?) Also the PC has a 2 position map switching - what is this? Are there any extra's that can go with the PC V? as i have only used PCIII before?
Only bit I can help with is the 2 position map switch. The PC5 can hold 2 maps and the switch lets you choose which one to use, i.e. a map with no baffle in and another with baffle in. I have been looking for new maps and there are quite a few on the powercommander/dynojet websites.
Hi Repsol01 Do you know what map you have installed on the PCV? You need to download a map to match the year exhaust and air filter type for you bike (or as close as you can find). Or find somewhere to have it mapped really the best option. Unless you really know what your doing DO NOT go fiddling with the fuel settings it could end in tears... The 2 map positions are to allow for eg: a baffel/noise killer in map & out map. You can switch between the maps by using a jumper wire in the correct socket or install a switch. you can get an auto tune box for the PCV which essentially maps the bike for you without taking it to a dyno, doesn't do as good of a job though, and you'll need to fit a wide band 02 sensor to make it work Ozz

Would a different map be good for when the baffle is in and out? this could have been the reason it is like it is? I cant remember it may have been the throttle response that i changed on my old bike..with the PCIII
SO there are 2 maps: 16-002-503 - Leo Vince, air filter, Dynojet O2 Eliminator 16-002-504 - Leo Vince with baffle , air filter, Dynojet O2 Eliminator So i guess i need these 2? So the question is what i use the first one with the baffle? and what is a Dynojet O2 Eliminator? W
The o2 Eliminator is used if you don't have an o2 (lamda?) sensor in the exhaust. Those 2 maps look a good starting place.
Dynojet O2 Sensor Eliminator On bikes that use an O2 sensor in the stock exhaust have a closed loop area that can not be adjusted by the Power Commander alone. If you make adjustments with the PCIII in the closed loop area the O2 sensor will sense these changes and the ECM will alter the fuel curve accordingly. If you want to have full fuel control over the entire RPM range of your bike then you will need to bypass the closed loop area which the O2 eliminators will accomplish. If you are looking for the best fuel economy and not worried about making changed to the closed loop area you can leave the stock O2 sensors connected and still make changes outside of the closed loop area with the PCIII. so do i need to get this regardless? how would i know if one is already fitted?
Hi repsol 01 I've not long fitted my pc5 to my 09 blade was told you have to have the 02 sensor eliminator fitted as the ecu will be trying to override the power commander. Really easy to fit as well

Yes that's it, however it plugs into the loom where the O2 sensor came out just behind left hand side of engine just below the No1 injector plug if i remember right..not where you plug gear indicator in.
My brother said he put a PCIII in...I thought the 09 needed a PC V? Would I still need the sensor with III
Am 99% sure you will still need the o2 sensor eliminator with the pc3 and you can get a pc3 for the 09 blade. My mate just fitted a pc3 to his 09 gixer 1000 and he still needed the sensor illuminator
checked it is a PCIII - my brother says that is all he installed.. there maybe a eliminator installed but he is not sure..anyone got a pic of were i can find this? i have checked the correct map is on the PC - i have enabled the accelerated fuel pump and increased the throttle response - cant wait to try... made a monster of a difference in my on RR5
. Here's a couple of pic's from when I recently fitted a PC5 To my '11 'blade. It's an ABS equipped bike so the plug may be in a different location on a non-ABS bike. dynojet_o2_eliminator
thanks for the picture.. will try to open up the bike this evening.. What would happen if this is not installed? and a PC is? would the bike ride any different? Am i thinking correct - the standard can has a o2 sensor - this gets removed when the rear can is changed...?
