Need to get hold of a new back pack that will carry a laptop.

Not needed for full on touring but to be used for business travel and commute to work in car and bike etc.

    Any recommendations ?

Yep always use Swissgear for all my rucksack, laptop bag and overnight bags. The laptop rucksack is superb, more pockets than you can shake a stick at and fully adjustable with a waist band which is especially useful on a bike.

Yup Swissgear are very good. One of the the Knox backpacks also had a space for laptops iirc and looked very good last time I looked at one.

I have the old version of the Knox SixPack (I think)... it comes with a padded laptop bag, and internal pocket to take said laptop bag... all straps in nice and securely and even feels OK once its on your back.

I'd go for the Kriega R30 as it's fully waterproof. I think Kriega also do a laptop inner sleeve as an extra.

    Unbeatable IMO. Not cheap though.

i have a Kriega - dont like it...for short trips its a pain..as you have to undo the clips every time you need to get into the bags..including the little zip pocket..rather annoying...
