F**ked up! Do the parents get a choice in if there child gets this book? I'm not sure I'd want mine (if I had any) learning that so young.

Perhaps if they learn at an early age they won't grow up with hang ups like many of our generation???

Bit like European attitude to sex and there much lower teenage pregnancy rates??

Part of the modern world with it being legal, and many situations of gay couples adopting, don't have kids so can't comment but don't think I'd have a problem with mine being open minded.... Reading a book won't brain wash them into wanting a boyfriend lol.

All walks of life out there.

I know lots of gay blokes and girls... one good friend ( a girl) has 3 kids from a doner (it could have been Giv?) , so the kids had 2 mummies ( her partner, and dare i say it, the loveliest person i've ever known) died shortly after of the big C. They had been together 25 years. That was a right wrench for me and Em, and our 2 kids, as we where very close to her. Our kids have always known they where gay, and have met other people of the same "preference". This has knocked any preconceptions out of them, and have been brought up in the way that if people are nice, they are nice whatever creed or preference. They are both intelligent and well adjusted individuals.

At first, i did say i never would agree that they should have kids, mainly due to the bullying that the kids might get at school from other kids, as they have Gay parents. They don't get bullied, but the oldest does get segregated a bit. A shame.

But, it doesn't take a gay couple to produce gay kids, it's people like you and me.

What would you do if your lad or daughter told you he or she was gay? Would you push them out and never talk to them again, or just love them unconditionally. I would certainly do the latter.

I was brought up by an Orangeman (my Dad) through and through, hated anyone unless they where protestant and white. I was engaged to a girl years ago who's mum was a Catholic. He never allowed her in the house.

It's the best shag i've ever had. LOL.

Religion sucks in my opinion, all religion.

Sexual preference, well i couldn't give a **** to be honest.

when i was younger (early 20's) a group of us always used to hang out, go to pubs, copping off with girls. We've known each other since being teens. Where we lived, Liverpool was a local night out, and we all where brought up fighting, getting pissed 5 nights a week, partying, the lot.
one of the lads , Mike ( a handsome bastard) could never keep the girls off. Anywhere he went.
One night, we where in our local boozer having a few scoops before heading over to Liverpool. He told us he had to tell us something. We all thought he had got a bird up the duff, but told us he was Gay, Always had been and tried to put a front on! WTF?

Anyway, we went out to town and said to him we couldn't give a **** if he was gay, straight or whatever. The poor dude broke down in tears.

cue a few mths later, he had told his parents, and he said that his mum told him she always knew he was effeminate as he was/is immaculate,m but said to him nothing would ever change. His dad, however told him to leave the house and dismissed him as his son..... Bad times dudes...bad times. That was nearly 20 years ago.

So, does it matter? not to me it doesn't.

As for me, I'm a hairdresser, I've heard it all. still get it now, and when i tell new clients i am married and have kids, some do say , "oh, i thought you where gay"

No love, not a gay bloke, but i'm the biggest lesbian on this earth.

    Chin chin.

As for the crayons, yep, i thick it's not right to send young kids home with them, the same as i wouldn't be happy if theres a straight couple on it. They are too young to know the birds and the bees at that age, they grow up far too fast as it is, and i disagree that they should know things so young, irrespective.

but it's down to the likes of you and me to educate them, and not be bigoted as far as sexuality goes. It could be your son or daughter, or yours or yours.

There was not 2 Adams in the garden of Eden, the queen is the head of the church,
Simple , I have nothing against race ,gender etc... But it should not be drummed into kids but marriage ,English history should we are selling our heritage out.
    Just my humble view.

Totally agree dude! Not enough emphasis on what makes out country great is celebrated by us or taught to the kids.... It's wrong.

But bit of modern society acknowledgment won't kill em either....

I just feel being a heterosexual white male! I have to watch what I say and do so you don't offend whether it be religion, nationality, race or sexuality! It makes you feel that your in the minority I feel I was open minded but I'm tired of the constant in your face crap that comes from all of the above! At work my direct management are gay and don't you know it! Taking total liberty's and have somethin to prove! At the expense of the workers there! It's not a happy work place and it's solely down to them and their attitude! I'm very much each to their own but when all of the above expect special treatment how can there ever be equality? Get over yourself instead of thrusting your sexuality, cultural differences on people who normally do give a **** making it harder for them to make it stay that way and not to revert back to being old school
It's the same with colour! baa baa rainbow sheep, chalk board wtf! how is having black sheep and black boards being racist?
Personally I don't want my kid reading that shite because it's not normal no matter what anyone says! I believe in family values a loving mother and father!

If it was a book with dad and his bit on the side behind mums back what reception would that get? That happens but it's not thrust on our kiddies! When it effect our innocent kids it really gets to me:mad:

All this gay and proud really gets on my fcukin tits! Ok your gay so what! I'm heterosexual so what when is all this nonsense gonna stop ffs ?

We really live in a truly fcuked society we need to stop giving in to demands from all parties and be a normal society without prejudice!!!.....

    Rant over!!!...

    Alf Garnett over and out:D
