Right after noticing I need a rear tyre and then finding out I can't match the front due to the tyre being discontinued I have been looking dot a pair of tyres. I have decided what I want but can't afford them right now and thought about scrubs just to get me on the road as over spent on ohlins (oops!) but have some questions Would you use scrubs on the road? Any makes to look for or avoid? How much should I look to spend on a set? Cheers Martin
A lot of peeps use scrubs on the road Martin. It kind of cuts out the middle man for getting your chicken strips turned into hero strips for you.
I had metzeler scrubs on my gsxr at about £90 for the pair, highly recomend them and I will get them again when the blade needs tyres. I went for the quite common combo of k1 (soft) front and k2 (soft/medium) rear. Give it a go and if you don't get on with them then you can just flog them on for much the same money as you paid for them. Andy B
