    Hi,
I'm Getting a bit old for long distance on the blade, I'm thinking of parting with the old BMW and going Tec with a VFR. Anyone know the bike, especially the 'Point and Shoot' version. And does it have the same ABS problems the Blade has.
    Thanks Folks,
    .........Mike.

Not had any personal experience only what I have read for a much anticipated bike it wasn't the game changer people thought it was gonna be.

I took one out for a few hours the other week when mine was in for a service, it didn't take long to get used to no gear or clutch lever. For me the not so good things that stuck out were wind noise way louder then the blade (standard screen), didn't like the auto change when going into corners having said that it was a lot better when i changed the mode to manual. Its a nice bike and there is a market for them i got the feeling that the gearbox may not last though and for me the VFR800 that i tested last year was more to my liking. I did a video of the test on the 1200 if i get time i will upload it to YT so you can see and hear my thoughts on it as i ride.

I would say most of that review i would say is correct tbh.:Honda VFR1200F review - Telegraph

Ive ridden the VFR1200 Dct and can say its a fab bike once you get used to it. You really need a good few hours to try the different settings, manual, sport, auto etc. The technology is just the same as any performance car with DCT and uses basically a standard gearbox
