Bikes that have had a Power-comander fitted or have had their ECU flashed to remove the inbuilt 299KMH restriction will show the higher speeds attained.

.......just saying like, not arguing with any fecker!

It's an 'Option' Si I'm told.

I had the Merc Mapped last year and was asked if I wanted the 155mph limit removed now it was capable of 165mph....

I naturally said, oh go on then, being as the Laptops open! :D

As I believe we like to say; this thread is worthless without pics, so, Elvington long runway last June

I have had 184mph on the speedo of my 09 fireblade at which point it stopped, but the revs and bike continued to pull.

I'd imagine the displayed 184mph was nearer 160... then it continued to pull to somewhere nearer a real 184.

I'd love to participate in VMax Event but its cars only at the moment.

Well this is quite interesting. I have a PCV fitted and I would have sworn my speedo read 188 but I have to be honest and say it's not something I could stare at for any length of time at that speed and a 6 and 8 can look similar so looks like I will have to fit the gopro and find out for sure. I know from track days my blade is very quick in straightline so maybe.... Will see if I can borrow a GPS too for actual speed reading.

All in the name of science right guys :D

I've never maxed out the Blade but on my old ZX-10R the speedo stopped at 189 and the bike was still pulling.

Reckon most Speedo over read by 6-10% so 185 could really only be 170? Hence why they keep pulling?

But anyway mind is only geared for about 165 for track day use, I prefer pull over top speed ;)
