Right..... been a few weeks since I joined here and been fiddling a bit with my Repsol baby..

Anyhoo - bought a nice Leo Vince GP Pro slip on (sounds ace) and just snagged a Power Commander 5 of fleabay which should be in the post tomorrow hopefully :)

I've trawled the stoopid Dynojet website and it just keeps sending me in a loop looking for map downloads so I went on the dot com site and found a few there but non specific for "European model with GP Pro Slip On"

So any of you guys got a map to suit to give me a good starting point pretty please? Its a 2011 model with ABS (if the ABS makes any difference)

I'll be posting some more pics just as soon as all the spangly bits are fitted :D

    Cheers in advance

The downloaded maps are very basic, my exhaust wasn't listed so I just downloaded a slip on of another make with no issues

there is one that says Leo Vince with after market or stock exhaust with baffle and one without baffle.

    I think it was these:
    M16-002-502
    M16-002-503

Cheers chaps. I've downloaded a few maps for it. I'll get it fitted this weekend and see what it feels like. If it's not right I'll get a custom map done :D

watch out for the custom maps. make sure you got to a well known place..

as some just stick a standard amp on, charge you for the pleasure...and you would never know... unless you export the map and check the values..

to be honest, unless you are dead serious and would notice the difference...one of the existing maps will work fine

+1. The bloke who had my bike before me paid to have it in a dyno. When I connected the laptop the other day the notes said it was a map from a company in Derbyshire for an Arrows system. The bike has an Akra system on it!

Rukka send me a PM with your e-mail address - I have a couple of maps I used until I had a custom map done on my 2011 Repsol with Leo Vince GP Pro . The were done by a chap in the States and worked well - you can also have a copy of my custom map if you fancy a try. This is assuming your blade is 2008 -2012.

    Cheers - Steve

    PM sent Steve.

Just discovered the PC 5 I snagged off fleabay is the 034 model off the 2012 blade. Spoke to Dynojet and they say it will fit ok on my 2011 so fingers crossed......don't know the difference though.......

Now, this is strange....... Postman has just delivered the parcel.

It is a 16-002 model PCV BUT it has more connectors on it!!!

According to the install instructions, for the 16-002, you just plug into injector 1 and injector 4, and then a connector for the central harness in the middle of the throttle bodies.

But, this one I have (16-002) has FOUR connectors for each of the injectors AND one for the TPS connector!!!

Looking at the power commander website this would "appear" to be how you connect the later one for the 2012 model (16-034)

    Weird!!

Any of you peeps come across this?

Settled on the custom map as I'm running the large baffle in the GP Pro. Seems plenty smooth enough and the glitchy on-off throttle at about 3500 revs seems to have smoothed out nicely.

Arse Dyno can't really tell much difference in power but was starting to lift the front nicely in second as the needle reached 10k without trying.

While I was tinkering I've put a K&N filter in and removed the O2 sensor n fitted an eliminator.

Also did the oil - Castrol Power 1

Just need some sunny days now to play out :D

Some pics (if they work lol)

Looks nice Dave - you saved yourself a tankful of petrol and rear tyre by not going through the dyno process. I would think the mapping must be 90-95% spot on with that map.

Yep - I think your right and from what others have said about essentially paying for an off the shelf map I think I'll stick with it. Might put it on the local Dyno just for a power run to make sure it's not doing anything daft and then leave it at that. Pulls plenty good enough for me.

So the saving in fuel and tyre = beer/favour I owe you :D

    Cheers for all your help.

Next on the shopping list......gear indicator ......
