This is the first time I've toured my 2010 blade, and I thought you lot might like to know what a weapon it is ...here are the bullet points

Best luggage option Oxford First Timer Panniers £50 older Hein Gerricke Tail bag originally about the same money total about 150 litres for a ton. No pillion possible though.

Tyres Sportsmart2 grip like **** to a duvet, very little squaring after nearly 1000 miles of French N and A roads and twisties. Plenty of motorway blasting to get to good bits

600 mile first day average cruising speed 100mph autoroute never below 80 with occasional proper speedy blasts..total now 1000 miles...NO noticeable oil consumption. Bike never does less than 150 miles before fuel warning.

I've got a load of gendarmes after me...must dash lol

Love touring on my Blade - the range is great and never had any comfort problems - heated grips handy

Economy puts many a 'touring' bike to shame, and after 160+ miles you need a break anyway

Kinnel U lot must stay under 6K then to attain that.

I'm squirming at anything over 110-120 miles

You must have a bigger tank! If I cruise at 120 on my 2010 for an hour in France, the light comes on at about 100 miles.

    Impressive.
I was doing about 140miles (before fuel warning) while touring via Black Forest last year, but the average speed was about 90mph.

I get 120-130 usually when i give it the beans, however last year i did a trip to Paris with my mate and his son and i think fastest we went was 75 and i managed 185 miles till warning light came on and filled it up at 205 miles still only managed to get 15.2 liter's in it to full.

I've always thought my bike was frugal... I only ever use 98 fuel.. Wonder if that makes the difference.. I can really cane it I mean as much as you can cane one of these... Practically and.. It never returns less than 135 before the light goes on... Any consistant speed and it's 150..doesn't use a drop of oil either!
