I here so many post about insurance and the extortionate cost to that regard, so its my turn MCE Fully comp/Road side/Euro cover etc etc, £156.61 £650 Excess What is wrong with that, I'm very happy indeed.
Just got my renewal in from Adelaide Insurance, been with them 3 years, they want £240 fully comp, protected. Stuff that, aged 55, no claim or convictions, 8 years no claims. Sure I will get it cheaper than that.
This week had the renewal through for the wife's monster, insured in my name with her as named rider. £513 Get onto gocompare and get quoted £150, but the current brokers decline to quote. Switch us around, her as the proposer me as the named, £180 from our current insurers. How does that work then?
Bennetts via comparing meerkats. £147 fully comp. 9 years no claims. £550 excess. Age 48. 1 accident last year in a car (non fault). - can't grumble at that.
Lol, just find it totally bizarre especially as Jo only passed last year. Don't know if I've actually got the energy to phone them, may be just easier declining the renewal and doing it on line! For the 929 and the RRA it's £350 with full business use on the 929, that's due in June so lets see what comes through.
Tiz a little known fact that Motorcycles are not treated the same as Cars or Vans by HMRC. They are treated the same as 'Plant', i.e Trailers, Diggers, Generators etc etc Because of this they are 100% Tax deductible at the end of year 1! Therefore a £10.5K Blade with a VAT element of £1750 which can be reclaimed straight away leaves a figure of £8750 which can be offset against Tax 12 months later! A Bike is so much quicker for attending Site callouts/breakdown with all ya Tools in the Kreiga!
I am 43 full no claims MCE who I was with sent through £347 £850 excess so told them I am not paying for that twat at BSB that just gets on every ones nerves in the paddock! For that money at least have decent models in those daft wigs Shopped around 160 plus legal cover 25 and 46 pound for excess insurance which I thought was worth it as £75O, good service from Express insurance.
What happens when you go to sell it? I know about the plant category bit but not the selling it on bit?
I'm with james footman, £280 with £500 excess and all mods declared.. Well the ones I could remember... Icing on the cake is an agreed value of 6k for an 1996 bike isn't bad
This is making me weep! I had my 2012 anniversay stolen last year (it still hurts). I was with MCE and fully comp was about £340.00. Stupidly I did not protect my my NCB. So when I bought the new bike it went on the original insurance for the remainder of the year for a admin fee of £40.00 (ish). When I came to renew last month fully comp went up to £3,500.00! Ended up searching for days and had to go TPFT for £800.00! The bastards pay out but then just get it back in the long run.
