Are there any significant difference between the exhaust headers? Are they changed mostly due to the new fairings?

Think cylinders 2 and 3 are linked and there is a cat attatched to the headers on the 2014 bike

08 - 13 are the same as far as i know

I thought they were different on the SP but they have the same p/n as the 2012 headers. This is why I wonder why the P/N is not common to the 08-11 models too.

They are defo different on the SP (2014) to the 2013 I have thats why there have been so many issues fitting end cans.

Yes just revisited the part number and yes it differs from the 2012 headers

    18150-MGP-A90 2014 SP
    18150-MGP-A00 2012-2013

There is yet another part number for the 08-11 so not sure what is going on with them?

As far as I know 14/16 headers all the same including SP were reduced to increase midrange, 12/13 headers were bigger OD downpipes, 14/16 cat is now built in to the pipe and all models pre 14 had the cat in the end silencer.

The only difference between 2014 engine and SP is the SP engine is blueprinted...

SP CBR1000RR. Honda put their engineers to work on the CBR1000RR SP cylinder heads, with improved intake / exhaust flow, providing an extra 2.7 of peak horsepower. The engine has factory-matched pistons and connecting rods, to ensure optimum internal balance and maximum power.

But don't be fooled in thinking you have Ti rods and super machined racing pistons in your SP! There the same as the outgoing bike, there just weight matched to ensure a well balanced and optimal performance, hence why such a small increase over the stock bike.

Don't see why not, I'm sure the OD port size will be the same it's just the OD of the pipes will be different. Hanging point at the rear might be out as the 2015 uses further back and higher up pegs, but if you have an adjustable band at the rear your be fine.

For 08-13 with s bend link pipe. I'll get pics when it comes off in a week. Slightest scuff to the end can. Hardly noticeable.
