Dont understand why or how bike companys keep these new bikes underwraps.. How come they are not leaked more often?? And if they are planning this bike for next year which I hope they do then leak a few pics get the interest up way before 2015 so people would then hold off buying something new in 2014 and wait for this or a new Blade in 2015. Im really hoping to buy a new (brand new) bike next spring so this could be for me or the new Blade, if we ever see one...
I will say it looks good and performance wise 200BHP is going to be mad But I will say I love all bikes. (not scooters though). old bikes, new bikes.
Sadly i will believe it when it happens, this very same picture has been put about now for the last two years claiming it will be released for the following year......
Well how different was the sp pics! Went from looking like a moto gp with headlights to a 2013 blade!
It doesn't look bad considering its a yam! I liked the R1 until it went with under seat pipes then it looked like a crossed eye owl with a flat face
I'll wait and see on this 1. Too many times now I have seen a meant to be bike that has never happened. I do hope it does looks like a more up to date version of the first R1 as I really like the front end of that bike.
I'm sure all the big companies deliberately leak pictures to the press....... Think about it, your just about to buy your next new bike...................... and suddenly Yamaha release a stunning picture of a bike they say they're going to have on sale within the next six months..... What would you do ??? Deliberate and very good marketing PR. And..... It does look stunning and with what appears to be great specs.
Yamaha are taking orders now for the new 2015 R1, i find this a little strange as no one has a clue what it will look like....
I also think anyone daft enough to put money down on something they have no idea will look like even more amusing
