Am I doing something wrong or is this just a shit system. I have a 15ltr GIVI tank bag with the quick locking system but once fitted, with the correct fitting kit, the bag seems fixed until I give the bag a bit of a tug/twist and then it comes right off, I have tired to fit this once before and ended up dropping the bike due to the blood bag falling off. Has any one else had this issue ? Has any one else been able to fix this issue ? I have a 25ltr BagLux bag but its a little bit too big but I am loathed to trust the quick lock system. grateful for any help or suggestions.
When you lock it in, make sure the red lever isn't restricted in any way. Have one myself never had any issues. Also worth taking a look at the collar perhaps? Make sure it's not out of shape in any way? Hope you get sorted soon.
Had the same issue with mine - i fitted the collar over the HRC carbon effect filler protector so when I wanted I could take it off and leave the protecor in place but the fixing ring wasn't sitting completely flat so the bag didn't connect properly - fitted without protector and it was rock solid.
Ahhhhh, I have the Carbon filler Protectors as well, Mr H how did you get the protectors off ( bloody waste of money )
Best Tank Bags and locking mechanism on the market is Givi gear! IMHO that is Jimbo...................
Worked perfectly, took only the outter ring off the filler cap but the ring fitts as before but the bag WILL NOT come off, I have even lifted the bike off the stand with it and it did not budge , thanks loads MR.h
