Good results indeed then Gilesy bet your happy with that. But the sp felt quite a bit faster on the road?
very happy LC.. but the SP is quicker top end. If your going through the gears to the limiter, the Sp is quicker, country roads, pretty much nothing between them
Here is the SP we took to dyno today at HM Racing Always good to visit them This is the WRONG dyno sheet, but it made 172BHP @ 82ftlb in the end, the full race system seems to work well, a little flat spot bottom end that we put down to the exhaust being a FAT race system but worth it for the looks, and who knows, some cams would sort that out.! Not bad power I guess, this sheet is my 07 It's had a few mods maybe the repsol paint work gives it an edge!
so both SP's probably ball-park then if Danny gets the Baffle-that-doesnt-look-like-a-baffle out of the Akro.. So really the conclusion is then that they are tuned for power up top, our older bikes are tuned more towards mid-range.. ? and the SP is really just Smooooth rather than chasing BMW numbers..
Many times I have seen the older model make more power but ride wise the later bike is stronger, much of that is the extra 1500 or so RPM, HRC ECU and a raised limiter on older bikes gets more power but at risk of the motor, yes LC mine makes 176 (waves willy) with a few tweaks stock motor, BMC race filter, open intake, no flapper, PCV, AT200, full Akra Evo race and so on, had HRC stacks and ECU once but sold them off as far to peaky for my liking. The guys at HM loved the SP as I do, I'd have one in a snap...well....as a project Better image added LC (edit)
Fully gutted intake mate, had a carbon one but did not fit right so gutted the OEM, big enough to reach inside and grab the filters
Yes mate, cut out the lowers left and right plus the upper a little but kept it clean and stock looking, steady hand plus made some new mounts to correct the fit of the lowers Also made some off set spacers for the rear sub frame exhaust hanger as Arrow seemed to give the wrong ones or maybe they were for a race subframe Check my twitter pics for more of the job.
Here mate, worth joining and pick who you'd like to follow, John McPint, Spalders and so on... https://twitter.com/arthurbikemad Me @arthurbikemad
