Looking to get a blade but have a pretty big commute at 60 miles a day all motorway, wondering what these bikes (particularly new shape) will do to a tank? My old 600rr got 170 miles without fail, wondering how much worse the blades are?

I get around 130 before the light comes on and then I think you have three litres left

I've read on the forum of people getting upto 180, I've not done a motorway run yet though so not put it to the test.

I commute over 60 miles a day, mixture lanes, motorway and heavy London congestion, light comes on around 135-145 miles, you can safely run to 170.

That's impressive and sounds like I should be able to at least achieve that. It's not the fuel consumption I'm concerned about but don't want to be stopping for fuel every other day!

Same. It's the London bit that kills the range... I rode from berkshire to leamington spa via the back roads back in April. Got more than 150 then filled up again before the light came on...

Commuting, it's almost exactly 2 days when the light comes on (I fill up at the same petrol station every 2 days).

Can't give figures but did a longish 250 mile each way motorway run lately with a ZZ1400, Blackbird and GS1200; I was using quite a bit less fuel than the rest.

Funny you say that as I've got a GS at the moment and for a wheezy 1200 it's rubbish on fuel, I get 180 miles from a tank and it's 24 litres!

Please; not 'drove'. You 'rode'. You ride a bike. ;)

You can fit a 24L tank and a HRC tank cover and go even further :)
