Think I'd like a norton sports bike especially if they sound as good as their race bike. Come on norton build one!

My mate was at Cadwell track day when they filmed that, said it sounded awesome in the flesh :)
I should have been there too but missed it due to hospital treatment :(

was a good program, if they built a road going sports bike based on that it would sell well, but I guess, being all hand built, it would be very expensive? [IMG]

Agreed plus there's the after sales to think of looking at their build processes they are very thorough and give a real personal touch and after sales care can be a massive head ache if there are big problems that most of the litre sports bikes have seen in recent years.

Looked a bit streetfighter-ish, just didn't click with me. Maybe it would in the flesh, but I doubt it. Not the first time I've suffered the shame of not liking something I should as I'm a brizzle boy who doesn't like cider

I saw the recent programme and thought the level of thought and build quality was spot on.
On the subject on the engine noise I can't work out what it is near to in sound?
Big Bang R1. Ducati Panigali. Triumph 675 or is it completely different ?

Was an rsv4 engine I think mike. As for the look I also really liked it and sounded and looked awesome in the flesh at donny.

However I can't help but think in their quest for retro coolness (which they achieved with ease) they have gone to far and built a bike 10 years out of date. The chassis and swing arm IMO looks lightweight and something chromed up off a sports tourer.

When was the last time you see a straight swing arm??

Shame as I think the bike will struggle with the intensity of the tt - that said, I'm not employed by norton and know jack shite about building race bikes lol

Oh and as Jamie rightly pointed out. It's a trellis frame this year ;)
