I have just bought an 08 track bike and never owned one before, so.. there is no side stand as it was removed by the previous owner, he said he just earthed the connector for it ( I think that's what he said ) but this is making the error light flash. What do I have to do to stop it doing this, any help appreciated.
I am also going to fit a GPR damper, if I remove the standard damper will this activate the error code.

    Cheers

    Mick

I removed mine mate, have a look where the rocker switch and lug etc is where he has removed yours? We took all that off, cut it away, closed the circuit and jobs a goodn. No fault code come up.

Can't help with damper I'm afraid as still on stock :(

If you're only doing Track Days then give consideration in to sourcing and refitting a side stand.

They add fek all weight don't get in the way and are invaluable when you're on ya own with no help at a TD.

My ZX10 came without one, but I fitted one ASAP and it's been a God send TBH

I was thinking of this as it is a pain when you have no help I know , i'll have to see how much of the track fairing I will need to chop out to accommodate it.
