    Hi All,

For those of you like me who ride come rain or shine (although mostly rain at the moment) here is a little tip for drying out your wet gear as I outright refuse to ride in winter goretex gloves in the summer. When you get to where you are going get some bog roll or tissues or kitchen roll is best if you can find it, then stuff it inside your wet gloves in scrunched up balls as many as you can inside the glove or boot either or works the same on both. The tissue paper or kitchen roll will draw the moisture out of your kit helping it to dry quicker especially if your office lacks radiators etc.

Also works the same for inside your leathers but you might get funny looks around the office rocking up back at your desk with two rolls of bog roll.

Hope that helps and any other tips others might have feel free to post up always happy to learn a quicker way.

Newspaper is also good, just use those copies of the Metro that seem to be everywhere these days.

Could have used that tip last weekend, thanks for sharing.

Here's mine for removing flies from your leathers, get a damp towel and bang it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, lay it across the flies and fold the leathers once trapping the steamy towel inside, leave that for a couple of minutes and the flies just wipe off. You then plonk the fly towel in the laundry basket for your missus to find lol.

If your gloves leak, get wet or just your hands getting cold use some of the disposable gloves you find at the diesel pumps underneath your wet cold gloves makes all the difference.

Not for everyone I know, but I stick my gloves on a couple of Cisco routers during the day, always dry for the commute home.

As for the rest of the kit, fortunately God thought that one through and designed Rukka and Daytona, so not much need to dry that kit.

Just remember to take the Newspaper out and replace it with fresh Newspaper if your boots are really wet inside. I have used plastic bags inside my boots before now which worked pretty well I have to say. Boots were already wet! That said, invest in a pair of Seal Skinz socks! Feet warm and dry despite boots filled with water! I always keep a waterproof throw over jacket under the seat cowl too with a spare £10 just in case!

I should have read this earlier. taken almost 3 days to try out my gloves and boots from Tuesday's track day. Just glad I took my johnny jacket which worked a treat at keeping my body and arms dry

Thanks for the input guys good to know. I'll try that one Cliff with a couple of the 3750's at work those babies get really hot hehe. I have alpinestars waterproof boots but they're not really waterproof it's pretend waterproof more like they'll keep your feet dry if you ride through a puddle lol...

Also if you are out and about without anything to clean your screen with and it has baked on flies then just get a couple of damp paper towels lay over the screen for 5mins then you can just wipe away all the flies and dirt similar to the leathers trick just no microwave ;)

Just make sure your Smartnet contract is up to date, just in case they drip onto a psu and fry the bugger

Yep, thats a good one navvy, works the same when they are plastered over the nose cone and bonnet of your car.

Now we are into the really useful tips, I find if you have a fry up, and the fry pan has baked on cleg, just put some hot water in it with some Fairy liquid and back on the hob, heat it up and then scrub with a washing up brush and hey presto super clean frying pan, won't help for wet leathers and gloves but thought I would just get that off my chest.
