I will be shortly looking at trying to find a pair of spare wheels for my 2011 blade So I can fit wets for future trackdays. I'm not fussed if what colour they are, or design of wheel. But I am wondering what wheels fir the 2011 blade? Would it be just 2008-11 or would other wheels fit mine bike? cheers all
IIRC the rears will be specific to the ABS as the sensor ring is fastened directly to the wheel whereas the front ring is fastened to the disc. I think the fitment is identical 2008 onwards
Matt, Pretty sure I've read if your bikes a non abs blade then any wheels from 08- current will fit on without issues (inc wheels from the abs)! If your bikes an abs then you need to stick to abs model wheels due to requiring the abs speed rings! But 09-current abs wheels will fit. Also iirc a non abs front wheel can be converted to an abs model via installing an abs front disc as it contains the speed sensor ring, rear non abs wheels can not be fitted to abs models and still have the abs functional as there is no installation holes on the wheel for the speed ring.
Yep thats is correct you can use any fronts with an ABS disc but any decent bike shop will be able to drill and tap the rears....
cheers chaps now I know more. thanks for the heads up. yes mines ABS so going to make it a little more difficult to get the wheel I want unless I go new which I gather will cost me ££££
