The "New" bike has no alarm......"Thank F..K"" but when parked up overnight I must have a additional lock....so whos using what at mo ? Im looking for something that's fairly portable by which I mean doesn't weigh a ton with chain and shackles..... decent disc lock ? perhaps
I use an Oxford monster disc lock, and its on offer at infinity at the mo for 69.99 with a free Oxford chain. I paid 100 for just the lock a few years ago.
I use an Oxford Nemesis Disc Lock: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007MLKFX2 16mm shackle, which I think means can't easily be bolt cropped. Best I could find for the money at the time.
I use one of these, simplest disc lock going, as in 1 handed operation, which is probably useful if you have been unfortunate to lose an arm, plus high security key/barrel, but like any disc lock is only part of your security, needs to be chained to something really. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1AEHRCP13S1JRM01QV0Y
The reflector for the LED has problems. Can't remember exactly why, I can fudge it with tin-foil but can't be arsed now and just use the disc-lock function Square discs? I thought I was mechanically inept
Yeah was hoping chain might be suitable for taking on tour buts it's the heavy duty oxford one..... Still very happy with purchase though.... Cheers for the heads up
No prob mate, yea chain is heavy as fek! Would be ok if was made of some of that self lightning BMW metal
