I want to remove the hideous looking black thing we're my nuts Get a good squashing (tank protector) to something easier on the eye. Can it be removed without the need for painting or covering any holes ?
    Cheers PJ

Or some lighter fluid on a clean cloth would also get any tack off .

knowing how chunky this pad is (saw in shop) may be a struggle to get it warm, maybe take the tank cover off and warm from inside.
I personally would place one of those microwave bean bags or hot water bottle on the area, then hairdryer from pad side as well.
good luck matey. piccy of my pad on the same bike for consideration :)

Heat it up as above and use dental floss to cut through the glue in a sawing action.

I'm ashamed to say mine has that horrible tank pad on it. Just not got round to taking it off but have just purchased the HRC pad from ebay after reading this post.
