I innocently gave Arthur aka Arthurbikemad a text to see how he was, unfortunately

    1. He was fine
    2. He was working on a very Bling SP
    3. He realised I am weak

So after a short conversation and me working out what I could sell to subsidise the purchase ! I ordered a very trick HM Dash !

So do I need it .. No probably not, but its Blue !, However, after a few days use I can say I am happy I did !

Firstly all the stuff I have on the bike apart from the fuel cap and the brake Master I cant really see when I am out and about, now I can see this lovely gadget in front of me and it just makes the bike seem more special to me :)

Next I recently went up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket and I am running 55 profile tyres so was unsure how close the speedo was, the dash gives you a data screen where I could view GPS data against the std speed showing me I was 10mph over reading at 70mph (showing 80 mph) so then I could use the sprocket set up to change the supposed sprocket size to get the speed correct now 70 reads 73 to give me a slight error margin, although you can also choose to use GPS for the ODO !

Other nice bits of information it gives you is Batt voltage, ODO, Trip, Engine temp (you can adjust lower and higher limit warnings), Gear indicator, fault code reader in plain English etc etc

One thing DaveV told me is there is also a setting to turn off the lights with the ignition on, so you don’t run the battery down if your downloading the lap data / datalog etc, but you can also choose to turn the lights off with the engine running, for trackdays etc :) no more pulling fuses !

Fitting was done in an hour, side panels off and nose cone drop to access the screws for the clock, the dash comes with the correct adapter plate for the bike and programmed so is just plug and play :) and if you decide to swap bikes you just download the software for the bike, and order the back plate to fit for about £50

Obviously it will give loads of info on track with the 10Hz GPS and software HM provide and I hope to try it out soon but even without using that it really is a great bit of kit.

With this and the HM GP I have more information available than most race teams on my daily commute, obviously I dont need it but who cares when it looks this good and functions so well ! god bless you HM :) !

Fook they are sexy things, no way on earth I could justify one though. You must have been up early to get those pics, or is it on Aus/NZ time ;)

Brilliant write up mate!!! I wanna say thank you but thanking you for making me want one doesn't feel right to me......

What a bike you have there if ever up for sale it would be the absolute must buy toy with everything plus extras fitted!!

If I get one you'll be first to know about it as my bike will be outside your garage waiting for installation ;)

Yes it will as I have same unit.......laptimer works using gps and once over 40mph will record your position from dot......OUTLAP is displayed until lap 1 completed......markers can be dropped for predictive sector times too.....in fact you cant fit in what this unit is capable of....... a top notch bit of kit....

Well done Jamie.....your bike has as much bling as "Liberace s" Living Room !! :D

My goodness, could you remove your post immediately because I want this now
    as soon as possible.
Great write up and pictures as well.
I didn’t find anybody in my area who is able to install it, unfortunately Arthur can, as usual.
I am wondering if there is a special offer from HM ?
Anything else I don’t need? Probably Yes!
