I know I don't do this often, but the time has come to change bike again!
I want something the wife can go on the back of again.
Intend to use my bike less since we bought a caravan last year and the guy I ride with a lot now wants to take the wives out a bit.
My mate has cancer. He is only 54 and is the hardest working person you could wish to meet.
He had a bone marrow transplant 9 months ago but the big C is back already.
I don't to miss the opportunity of riding with him when I can so the R1 is going.

    What is next you ask????
Ken will love this..........I'm having a Hayabusa again!
Can't wait for the pictures of ice cream vans Ken!

I've put a deposit down on a 59 plate Black Busa with 6K on the clock.
1 owner from new. Looks the dogs!
    Totally standard........for now

Sorry to hear about your mate Steve and hope he is making the best of what he can do at the moment.
The Busa is a Marmite bike and I nearly bought one ...it's just the back end dude it should have been updated by now .
    Top bike though .

That is so true. My brother in law hates the look of the Busa, but I like it.
Not over keen when standard, but chuck a Yoshi full system on it and it looks great.
The rear end really seems to split opinion as you say.
The power is awesome and they do handle. Not like a blade obviously, but still very good.

Sorry to hear that Rob. It certainly is!
I do around 4k miles per year I guess.
First thing I will do is fit a Yoshi 4 into 1. I am sure there will be other bits as I go along.
The R1 goes next week. I've put loads of accessories on eBay.

I came very close to buying a Busa myself before I found a Repsol Blade at the right price. My mate has a 58 plate one and it's a missile for sure. Enjoy the bike :)

And sorry to hear about your mate. Wish him all the best and good luck to him. Sounds like you're gonna help him enjoy himself tho so good on ya :)

    Did you consider a ZZR1400!

If I had to ride a 'Barge' then that would be my choice! ;)

Don't like the ZZR at all.
Looks far to tourer than sport tourer to me.

Sorry to hear about your mate, its at time's like this that you realise how important friends are for support, and just being there when you are needed.
Good luck with the 'busa' bit of a contrast to the R1, but great bikes.

I hope your mate beats the illness sbd im sure with your support and encouragement he will have a great chance :).. Hope the busa is great fun for you. One of my mates has one and He
He rides the wheels off it. It's scary to watch sometimes but the acceleration is phenomenal.. All the best :)

I am with Sinewave the ZZR1400 is an awesome bike, a friend of mine is on his second.

I am sure the Busa is as well but it just doesn’t do it for me.

Yep you will need a tyre..lol. Bike looks good, I had a test ride on the 2014 ZZR1400 last week, full Akra and map etc 200bhp, wow what an engine! sooooooo smooth and builds like a rocket ship! I'd be happy with the Bussa or the ZZR both are made to eat up the miles.
