Think I've gone mad, I've just bought an old 125 scoot to go to work and back on for ease of parking and economy but have just worked out I need to spend a fortune on waterproof textiles so that I don't turn in like a drowned rat!

Anybody else do this, plus any suggestions for cheap textiles please or should or should I just go on fleabay for some used bits?

    Thanks

Been thinking about a MSX125 and get rid of the CBF500 but think I would regret it for those times I need to do a longer journey.

Was thinking about fleabay for wet weather gear, what makes offer good value and are plentyful? I know it sounds stupid but I've only bought leathers before and they've been new

Anything Gore tex will do.. Warm and dry for Winter riding and a good pair of gloves. Go to a bike shop try a few jackets on then go on Ebay, chances are they will be on there. :D

I was using a Zip50 for a year (ok ok so I tuned it up a little ;) )... shame it had to go or someone was going to get killed, and no I am not talking about me, I am talking about all the tossers that feel they MUST get past even though they have no where to go in a busy town! example: when this old git got the hump as I had filtered down to the lights (RED) then go to pull off on the outside and move in as you do he decides to wheel spin his age old BMW and make a point of staying on the inside to keep me hung out to dry, even though 25yds down the traffic is grid lock,,,,so,,,,time for a chat....lol After a chat he decides to become a better person for humanity and I decide its time for the Zip to be sold, now ride a TDM900....lol Lifes good again...

Did ride a Xipi 1500W electric mountain bike the other day, 25+mile range at around 15mph (legal) or flip a switch and 30mph (closed road ;) ) was amazing and loads of power no need to peddle ever! I really want one but at 2 grand....it can wait, but truly it would be awesome for a local commute.
