Any of you ridden or own the latest Kawasaki ZX10.

After riding the BMW S1000RR and S1000RR HP4 last week, I'm now want to test ride the new Kawasaki ZX10 to compare.

Went to a Kawasaki event in Donington yesterday but unfortunately didn't get an opportunity to ride the new ZX10.

There were a load of ZX10s on track, all of which got left behind by the Blade:D
    Happy days !!!

A friend of mine has one, not had a go of it myself but from sitting on it the front end feels huge, seems the wing mirrors go on for ever.

He says it has low bottom end torque but loads in the mid and high range and quite easy to ride, build quality looks good but doesn't float my boat in the looks department

I wouldn't say they are any heavier than the blade Stevie, in fact according to the manufactures specs the ZX10 is 3.4lbs lighter than the blade

I would have a chat with Sinewave although not a brand new one but he has a ZX10 as a track bike and would probably be able to give you a excellent comparison between them both

Really? Just sitting on one and they feel miles lighter than the blade?? Although in road trim the front does seem massive....

Seem quite a few on track this year and although not tried one yet (want too) I don't think you'd be disappointed. They seem to be very popular at the moment....

Don't see too many on the road though, perhaps it's the looks but as a track bike who cares, think they actually look decent.

Prob be my next bike for track tbh and for the money nothing comes close as a complete package.

And they are rapid as fook!!!

I test rode the 13 model and its far from big and heavy, if anything it feels lighter than the blade and handles like a dream, with a truly stonking engine, I mean a beast with plenty of tourqe !

The only reason I didnt get one is I found it much more track focused than the blade, I needed the bike for an everyday commute and the ZX-10 felt much more aggressive, if it was a weekend/trackbike only ..... I think I would of bought the ZX-10R TBH !!!!

Ive just traded my Blade in for one. Test rode a 2013 one on Saturday and it is definitely lighter than the Blade more so because i had the abs Blade and once you hit that 8000rev range omg, its a case of hold on for dear life you really have to use your legs to force your body weight forward otherwise it wants to pull your arms out of there sockets. Depending on which reviewers spec you read its upto 5kgs lighter than the Blade but they all agree its lighter.

Ive purposely bought it for the track and sinewave (Jay) swears by them. Also look at how they do in WSK, BSB, and Clubmans....

The Blade is a fantastic bike and i loved everything about it, especially the Repsol colours:) But i had the abs which had to go because of the extra weight and the fact that your not allowed to race the abs.......

I looked at one before plumping to buy a 14MY Blade, again as above comments, tremendous bike, packed full of tech, but an everyday commuter?, was not so sure about that. Build quality looks good, but just did not think it was delivering power where you need it in the daily grind, hence where the Blade works perfectly still.

But as a dedicated track bike, fast road day bike, looks and feels superb.

Funny really how the Blade has gone from radically redesigning the Superbike era of the 90s onward, to race winner, road race winner and now probably the best commuter bike on the road, next step must be to dominate the tourer market, then turn it into a crossover like they do with cars.............

if i hadn't got such a good deal on my beemer,i'd have 1 now,i love kwaks,my 05 zx10r makes me chuckle everytime i take it out on the road.from what i've been told though,on track at least, they need to be worked, like the beemer, you cant be lazy on it and most of the power is at the top end.think like it's a 600 and you'll be fine :) (well apart from high siding)

What sort of money did you mate pay for the 12 plate?

Agree with all the comments, think the standard road bike looks hideous.
The back end looks so wrong.
Had a look at Shakys race bike on Sunday and its looks awsome with track fairings.

If I bought one, I would strip it down and fit track fairings along with Ohlins forks & TTX shock and probably only use it on track.

Need to book that test ride.

Its a done deal Jimbo, my Blade is now up for sale in their shop for £9995:)

I was a little concerned that when they build the ZX10 some young lad in the back did all the work but far from it. The bike is sent to a BSB engineer who puts it together and re-tunes them because of the full race system. I will receive with it full Dyno print outs, any colour choice for race fairings and HM+ qs comes with it as well ae all the other race parts....

I will keep it in road trim until or if i ever do race.....

Mine was a 2013 (63plate) Repsol and i got £9450 for trade in, a little shock to see mine now up for so little, expected it to be well over 10k.....

Ive dealt with many bike dealers over the years and i have to say these guy's have been class, given me a fantastic deal on my bike imo and gone above and beyond to get my custom, just good people with a smile, unlike Hunts who seem to be a bunch of miserable sods...
