The ZX-10R is the most aggressive looking bike I've ever laid my eyes on. I'm even afraid to approach one.

Lads who race them on trackdayriders tell me that the front end is superb, but the rear end requires a lot of modification to get the bike to handle well. Also said that the gearboxes are weak but replacing the gearbox is straight forward as it is a cassette gearbox

    Is that so?

Ive heard the same about the gearbox, apparently the 2011 onwards isn't as solid as those before it however i don't believe this is any different from that of the Blades gearbox. I had issues with mine so does Jay and Jase's went altogether. Imo there is a very small chance of you getting one with a not so perfect gearbox but you are correct, I spoke to J&S and they have a cheap but extremely good fix if you were ever to have issues...

I've found mine brilliant in standard'ish and modified form on Track
Blade is better for the road if your tour or commute due to the superior tractability of the engine
Latest ZX10 was only around half a sec behind an SP around Mallory when Rutter tested them for a Magazine
The ZX was on shyte tyres and an overheating rear shock plus standard BPF Showas up front!
Waz full Ohlins, Brembo calipers and Pirelli Super Corsars on it to level the playing field and.......................

Bit pointless testing superbikes around Mallory Park.
Mallory is better suited to small bikes.

Thanks for the info regarding your bike

Yep full cassette gearbox, like the 4-7 blade, RSV4, F41000, ZX6 etc

it amazes me why all bikes, especially race focused bikes dont all have cassette boxes.can only assume it's an engineering issue, even honda went back from 08 :(
