Had a few issues with fitting unfortunatly, the Original screw fits well but the shaft between the thread and the screw head is a bit long 2mil ~, I put it in the drill and filled it down a little with a file, fits well now. Idealy I would have prefered the Guard to be a little more Central to the chain, but it still covers it and looks the bollocks :)

I'll post pics shortly. their is a gap of about 5 mil from the swingarm and the L bracket of the chain guard mounting ( if that makes sence?) so might spin? gonna fix this by putting some black foam Between swingarm and L Bracket wall.

Yeah it was a gamble from the get go, I was aware of the possible fitting issue, Mine is an 07 blade, it fits but the screw is a little closer to the swingarm side than the 08+ models.

I am fitting a new threaded insert, Rivnut, into my swingarm brace so that it will be a good fit and exactly where I want it.

I don't have one near where I need to fit mine, so just offered it up, mark the brace, drill it, fit Rivnut into hole and fix guard to brace using Colin's spare shouldered bolt. Have you got a pic of your set up, so we can work something out?

Deffo going to move it closer, looks a bit silly so far up. I'm just a bit unsure on how to cover up the old insert?

    What year is your bike?

Mines a 98 RRW mate. Just fit a nice looking stainless or Ti button or dome headed bolt in there. Have you got a pic of it from the side, 90 degrees?
