I have got the trip into Europe planned with 6 days of riding and looking forward to it, however ive got one issue with the bike that is going to bother me no end on the trip. I have a vibration comiing through the seat and on the right peg when the rpm is at 6.5k and above. It is noticable and on a normal ride of 2 hours or so it would be managable dispite it being distracting. I have had the wheels balanced and the had someone go through the bike whilst on a service and looked for all loose parts. The garage i had the bike serviced at also owns a 2005 blade and doesnt have this problem. Only yesterday i fitted at ZG screen as i have this in other threads as an issue but no difference on my end. I have also had the suspension checked and taken back to stock setting. What makes it interesting the vibration interest and maybe helpful to determine the problem is that it also vibrates when you rev it in neutral. This elimates the bearings, balancing and possible clutch issues. I have read in instances that the vibration could come from the secondary injectors being activated. If this is the case how can i test this without spending a fortune and will a PCV and remap sort it out. Your thoughts would be appreicated.
Its a vibey bike, mine does the same, through the bars was solved by purchasing some heavy bar ends from Jaws motorcycles. Jaws Motorcycles and Motorcycle parts supplys for the Blackbird They fit straight in FYI.
Correct they bolt straight in with no mods, i'll grab a pic when i get home. The Vista Cruise control on the site fits aswell with a slight mod.
If you take the bar ends out and look at the end and find a d shape locating tab, then they will go straight in. They want to look like this You'll see the lug I mean in that pic.
Thanks, I have ordered the bar ends, hoping they make a small difference at least. These with a recushioned seat I am sure it will be enough to foget about the vibe.
