Quote from this artical...."It also stops the tendency of the bike to stand up and go straight on under braking in a corner." Has anyone else had this happen whilst riding their 'blade?
Having bought my way out of a shite designed ABS equipped Blade, I think I will just trust my 35 years experience to tell me when to operate the brake lever or not in future and take my chances like I did for the other 33 years on non ABS bikes
it will and does happen on all bikes,if your braking hard into a corner, the bike wants to sit upright. i assume your going for another bmw v blade debate?? maybe go get a life instead,or try riding faster+harder, trail braking into a corner and see what i mean.
Quoting from the artical...."The good news, though, is that all modern braking systems—those with ABS and without—have relatively lenient maintenance schedules. Again, consult your manual." Yeah right. Otherwise, a very informative piece but I must say, I have an ABS equipped 'blade and love it to bits but they obviously never consulted the Fireblade Workshop Manual with it's 22 pages devoted to the 'every two years' maintenance cycle of the ABS system. Wota pain.
Never had a real problem with my ABS System, but if something would make me uncomfortable or scared to ride the Blade - because of the ABS-System - my Blade would be history as soon as possible.
