Super glue it together then use a soldering iron to weld/ melt all the splits together . push the hot soldering iron tip into the split an work your way along the splits to weld/ melt it together . This works great done it many times. Remove the decals/ stickers first with a hair dryer or heat gun first .
you can also get some more plastic like a cable tie or something to use like you would be tig welding. if you need to fill in any gaps in the crack
Hey, did you fix this in the end? I have been looking into plastic welding (for a MUCH smaller job) and searched here for tips.
q bond works really well on most plastics http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_o....TRC2.A0.H0.Xq+bond.TRS0&_nkw=q+bond&_sacat=0
Drill a small hole at tge end of the crack (s) before you use the soldering iron to melt back together. It stops it travelling further in the future. Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk
No its a glue Ive not used it to repair a fairing. I've done soldering iron welding many a time though Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk
OK, I have a few repairs to make, some scuffs to the corner of the tail fairings which need filling and sanding and then splits around the mirror mounts so I can try out both options. Thanks for your help!
