Bikes being shipped to Nice, and we are flying out on the 22nd August...

    I still need:

    • Kevalar Jeans - got some RST longs, were too long so sent them back, now have the short and are too short on the bike...
    • Helmet - Arai RX7 GP - finding it too noisy...want something quiet..
    • Jacket - need a summer textile jacket.
    .

went to J&S - not much there in regard to jackets that were a nice fit..

is there any other shops that stock large amouts of jackets i can try on and buy?

    Sam

i am liking this...Schuberth S2 Lines White Red Green at Helmet City - FREE UK Delivery

sure i can sell the arai for about £280ish..it is still like new..

money is short..as i still need other bits bags etc..clothing is top of the list though...

Think i will head out to J&S Watford tomorrow - see if they have anything...

    times running out...

IMO moulded are the best and very comfortable , you won't get any moulds done and ear plugs to arrive in 2wks I think. May be better getting some cheap ones that are like putty & self moulding.
    Think it's in this thread

Take it you've checked you can't get a piece of paper between your visor and the seal ?
If you can then it may need the visor adjusting

You've got the rest of eternity and a tiny list their dude.... Was still trying to get my bike road legal 48hrs before.... Didn't even attempt to start getting ready until that point lol

IMO - try other earplugs, they are all noisy at "touring pace"

What you normally wear on the bike? Go in that.... I tour in my beat up one piece. Comfy and offers best protection. Sweat just as much as the guys in two piece and textiles....

Never used to when younger but don't know how people do without now.... Hate it.

Just try some bog standard ones mate, won't even know you got them in after a couple ride outs.

Never known a quiet lid over 90 anyway, some are just noisier than others ;)

Just get on ebay and get a bag of the foam ear plugs 50 pairs for about £7, roll em, shove them in, and chuck em at the end of the day

The good news is that after about 25 years of Arai wearing, your ears will be so fooked you won't notice, my latest RX7GP sounds as quiet as a morgue, so either man up and put up with it or buy a bag of cheap soft plugs.

I tend to wear them when I have to do anything over 50 miles at making progress speeds.

Road trip...5 of us will be riding back from there to the UK over 7 days..

we were going to send the bikes on a train..but worked out easier to just use flybike to send them out there...

train tickets available...if interested anyone http://1000rr.co.uk/general-1000rr-discussion/19286.htm#post297429

Getting back to the other question! I rate Infinity for clothing. They have large ranges of kit. The staff at the Farnborough always really helpful.
